Every year hundreds of Manitobans, both adults and children, are seriously burned. Most are victims of fires, while others have suffered burns through scalds, friction, chemical or electrical contacts.
Wound care and scarring become issues with burn patients, as well as a large percentage of patients who suffer through any type of physical trauma.

The Chair's mandate will be to lead and conduct research in the many facets of burn and wound care injuries.
